This policy explains how the DubaiRelator mobile app (“DubaiRelator”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. DubaiRelator is a tool that overlays estimated Dubai real-estate prices onto buildings using augmented reality. By using the app you agree to this policy.

The short version
- The app has no account and no login — we don’t ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- The camera is used live for the AR view only; camera images are not stored or transmitted.
Information we handle
Location. With your permission, the app uses your device’s location and compass to work out which buildings you are looking at or near, so it can place price estimates in the AR view and on the map. Location is used to provide this core functionality. You can turn location access off at any time in iOS Settings — the AR and “nearby” features will then be limited.
Camera. With your permission, the app uses the live camera feed to display the AR overlay. The camera feed is processed on your device in real time and is not recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
Subscriptions and purchases. If you buy a subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage and verify subscription status. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app-user identifier and receives purchase information (such as product purchased, purchase and renewal dates, and subscription status). We do not receive your card number or full Apple ID — Apple processes payment. See Apple’s and RevenueCat’s privacy policies for details.
App preferences. Settings such as your watchlist, chosen plan state, and whether you’ve completed onboarding are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us.
Diagnostics. The app is built with Expo. Standard, aggregated crash/diagnostic and update information may be processed to keep the app working and to deliver updates. This is not used to identify you.
Maps and external links
The map uses Apple Maps to display building locations. The app also provides “Open on Bayut” and “Open on Property Finder” buttons that open those third-party websites in your browser. Those sites are operated by others and have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or data practices, and we are not affiliated with them.
How information is used
We use the limited information above only to provide the AR, map, search and building-detail features; manage your subscription and unlock paid features; and keep the app secure, working, and up to date. We do not use your information for advertising or for cross-app tracking.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that make the app function — principally Apple (App Store, payments) and RevenueCat (subscription management) — and only as needed for those purposes. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal data.
Data retention
On-device data (preferences, watchlist) remains until you delete the app or clear it. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their own policies and as needed for billing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UAE), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because the app collects so little and has no account, most control is in your hands: revoke camera/location permissions in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Children
DubaiRelator is intended for adults making property decisions and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
All prices, rents, and yields shown in the app are estimates for informational purposes only. They are not official valuations, not sourced from the Dubai Land Department or RERA, and should not be relied upon for financial, legal, or purchasing decisions. Always confirm figures with a licensed professional or official source.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, within the app.
